Confocal microscopy course
Our course in confocal microscopy is an introduction into the microscopical technique as well as the experimental methods it is used together with.
The course is aimed at novices, as well as more experienced researchers with knowledge in epifluorescence and confocal microscopy.
The course consist of six halfday sessions:
1. Day 1, am: Theory 1 CLSM: function & components, resolution, S/N, visibility, sampling, post-production
2. Day 1, pm: Theory 2 Basic methodology & optimization, fluorescent markers, project methods discussion
3. Day 2, am: Practical 1 CLSM demo 1 – two students
4. Day 2, pm: Practical 2 CLSM demo 2 – two students
5. Day 3, am: Theory 3 Alternative/complementary microscopes, method combinations – case studies
6. Day 3, pm: Project presentations
