Research Methods

We support projects with analyses of human and pre-clinical live animal model tissues to analysis on cellular levels. Our investigations include:
• Immunohistochemical and immunofluorescence labelling studies of tissue and cells, both pelleted and in vitro.
• Multiple molecular targeting with immunofluorescence methods, including for co-localization analyses.
• High sensitive and high resolution analyses of cellular and intracellular targets, including internalisation studies.
• Versatile histochemical stainings for histological and histopathological analyses.
• In situ hybridisation of oligonucleotides, for analyses of mRNA expression or other oligonucleotide targets.
• Visualisation and image analyses of non-biological structures, including of shape, size or other.
• We perform digital image quantitation of all projects above.
• qPCR, Elisa and Western blot analyses related to histological projects.

Movat Pentachrome staining of lung. In the same histological section, a differentiated color staining is obtained of collagen and reticular fibers (yellow), elastic (black), fibrin (bright red) and muscle fibers (red), and of cartilage (green), not achieved in other histochemical stains.
